Reimagine Doing

This is a poem I wrote to celebrate World Occupational Therapy Day today, a global event created by The World Federation of Occupational Therapists. The theme for this year is “Reimagine Doing.”

Reimagining what we do,
Is reimagining our reality.
Reimagining the why’s,
The where’s, the who’s, and the how’s.

Reimagining the process,
The journey that takes us from end to end.
Reimagining the outcome,
The final thing we see from where we stand.

Reimagining the motivation,
That pushes us ever forward.
Reimaging the challenges,
And the lessons that they teach us.

Reimaging the little things,
The quirky odds and ends.
Reimaging the big things,
That may make us bow and bend.

Reimagining the details,
That add depth, colour and texture.
Reimagining the impact,
That will stay with us longer than any other.

To reimagine doing,
Is to reimagine it all.
But that is what the imagination is made for,
To allow us all to soar.

I hope you enjoyed reading this poem and celebrating World Occupational Therapy Day with me in my own little way. If you enjoyed this, don't forget to give it a clap.

Bye for now!
